Grumpy's Grill + Pub Logo Design

Grumpy's Grill + Pub was a start up restaurant in South Dakota, and they needed a logo. The owner, my now father-in-law, asked me to draw him wearing his favorite paperboy style hat giving a grumpy expression. He wanted a somewhat realistic and somewhat cartoony look to him with an old timey appeal. My progression picture shows all of the steps in the drawing I saved while working on this for him, along with the final design in color I delivered to him.

While I did create this logo, it now belongs to the owner of Grumpy's Grill + Pub. I am posting it for the sole purpose of sharing my past work.
